Welcome to the Scanner Firmware Update web page.
It is recommended that you update to the latest firmware (below). The update utility will display your scanner firmware version, then prompt you to update. Please read the Product Bulletins for details.
First, choose your Microvision Scanner:
NOTE: If your scanner is not labeled Microvision Flic or ROV, please contact your reseller before updating.
ROV Scanner and ROV Scanner with Bluetooth
Minimum Update Requirements

Microvision serial cable (came in your ROV Scanner box)

PC running Windows 2000 or XP and an available serial port

Microvision ROV Scanner or ROV Scanner with Bluetooth
How to Update your Scanner
1. Plug cable into your PC.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into your ROV Scanner.
3. Download the update utility (below) to your PC.
4. Launch the update utility and follow the on-screen instructions.
IMPORTANT NOTES

Do not unplug your scanner during the update. Wait until the update process is finished before unplugging your scanner.

Before upgrading multiple scanners, test the first updated Scanner with your application.

Flic Scanner and Flic Cordless Scanner
Minimum Update Requirements

Flic serial cable (came in your Flic Scanner box)

PC running Windows 2000 or XP and an available serial port

Microvision Flic Scanner or Flic Cordless Scanner with manufacture date past August 2005. (The date can be found on the label inside the Flic battery compartment.)
How to Update your Scanner
1. Plug cable into your PC.
2. Plug the other end of the cable into your Flic Scanner.
3. Flic Cordless users: remove the Bluetooth battery door from your Scanner.
4. Download the update utility (located below) to your desktop.
5. Launch update utility and follow the on-screen instructions.
