ROV Barcode Scanner Customer Success Stories

As promised, here’s the follow up to my last posting: What Customers Think of the ROV Barcode Scanner. From the ROV Scanner Satisfaction Survey, we contacted numerous customers that told us they were willing to share their applications and experiences with the ROV Scanner. What Customers Think of the ROV Barcode Scanner

Recently, Marketing decided to put a finger on the pulse of Microvision’s ROV Scanner users to see how they felt about the MEMS-based scanner. We put together a survey, sent it to every ROV Scanner customer, and eagerly waited for the results. To sweeten the deal, each customer that completed the survey would be entered to win one of two VISA Gift Cards.
Nearly 25% of the recipients filled out the survey over the span of the month-long window provided. The results were impressive.

How in the World does the ROV Scanner fit into Microvision’s strategy?

Being the young, smart and handsome guy in Microvision’s Marketing department (or at least that’s what I tell myself), I’m often sent to various trade shows to represent Microvision products. When I tell people about our product line, they have a hard time making the leap (and understandably so) between the ROV Scanner and innovative display products like Pico Projectors and Mobile Device Eyewear.
The answer is simple: all of our products, either to market or in development, share the same common denominator: Microvision’s core technology, MEMS.
