…we launched, we started initial shipments, we have the SHOWWX brand and now (tada!) an OEM private label brand accessory laser pico projector. This has been a fun few weeks.
Microvision Secures Global Consumer Electronics OEM To Private-Label Laser Pico Projector
Redmond, WA.–(BUSINESS WIRE)—October 8, 2009—Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ:MVIS), a global leader in innovative ultra-miniature projection display and image-capture products for mobility applications, announced today that it has secured an initial purchase order for a global consumer electronics OEM to private-label its PicoP display engine-based accessory laser pico projector. This purchase order is tied to a marketing and distribution agreement Microvision announced recently with an Asian distribution partner who also has purchased Microvision’s branded product, the SHOWWX, for distribution within the Asia-Pacific region. The Asian distribution partner and global consumer electronics OEM are both planning their own marketing launch activities and will provide specific details regarding timing and locations for initial product availability in the near future. Microvision has begun shipping units to fulfill both customers.

‘Twas the night before Macworld

Today was booth setup at Macworld. It is amazing how much chaos goes into setting up booths, and then bam, they all look amazing. This is the first year Microvision has exhibited our Accessory Pico Projectors at Macworld and I must admit I have a different excitement about this trade show then others I’ve been too. This show is right at the heart of the Apple universe and it is amazing to see so many companies in software, hardware, and services that make up the entire Apple ecosystem. It is astonishing to think that one company can have such a big impact on developers and consumers that create such a devoted following. I guess I could relate a little as Microvision also has many faithful followers and it’s exciting to have so many cheering us on. Tomorrow will be the first time we publicly show the latest jewel, The SHOW WX. This is honestly the best looking, smallest, projector we’ve done. I think this will catch the eye of many Apple fans. Check back later to see how day 1 went.
Update: Our booth number was incorrect in the press release issued this morning. We are at Booth #4227.
