Former U.S. Senator Slade Gorton to Join Microvision Board of Directors

BOTHELL, Wash., Sep 17, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Microvision, Inc.
(Nasdaq:MVIS), announced today it has named Slade Gorton, 75, former
three term U.S. Senator from the State of Washington, to its Board of
Directors.

Senator Gorton brings great experience and knowledge to
Microvision’s Board from his extensive public service: 18 years as a
U.S. Senator, 12 years as the Washington State attorney general, and a
decade of service in the Washington State house of representatives. He
also served in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Air
Force Reserves and has practiced law since his admission to the
Washington State bar in 1953. While in the Senate, Mr. Gorton was
widely recognized and respected by both sides of the aisle for his
hard work, intelligence, insight and perspective. Senator Gorton has
also recently been recognized as a top lobbyist in Washington. In a
Special Report from The Hill Newspaper — Star Rainmakers, Senator
Gorton was one of 36 lobbyists named as the “cream of the crop” from
over 12,000 registered lobbyists in Washington.

Jacob Brouwer resigned as a Director effective as of October 30,
2003. Mr. Brouwer will serve as an Advisory Director.
