Jeanette Horan Joins Microvision’s Board of Directors; IBM Executive Brings Leadership and Expertise in Technology Development and Operations

REDMOND, Wash., Jun 12, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Microvision, Inc. (NASDAQ: MVIS), today announced that
Jeanette Horan has joined its Board of Directors. Ms. Horan is
currently Vice President, Worldwide Information Management Development
and General Manager, IBM Silicon Valley Laboratory.

President and CEO. “Jeanette’s background and skills in successfully
initiating and delivering new technology products, leading worldwide
software development teams, developing operational planning processes
and forming strategic global alliances is very synergetic with our new
growth strategy and should greatly benefit Microvision.”

Ms. Horan, 50, joined IBM in 1998 and is responsible for all
information management software development in IBM, a core component
of IBM’s $15 Billion software business. Prior to her current position,
Ms. Horan was Vice President, Strategy of the IBM Software Group where
she was responsible for strategic alliances with key platform partners
and led strategic and operational planning processes. Ms. Horan was
also Vice President, Development for the Lotus brand and led worldwide
product management, development and technical support. Prior to
joining IBM, Ms. Horan worked for Digital Equipment Corporation where
she was Vice President, Development for the AltaVista business,
bringing the Web search engine and suite of intranet products to
market. Ms. Horan’s management experience also includes five years as
Vice President, Development for the Open Software Foundation.
