REDMOND, Wash., Jun 13, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Microvision, Inc. (Nasdaq:MVIS), the leader in light
scanning technologies for display and imaging products, announced
today that it has recently received a $915,000 contract from the
United States Air Force Research Laboratory located at
Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, OH. The contract is to advance the
development of a portable eyewear display.
“The work that will be performed under this contract is squarely
within our strategic product path and will take us one step closer to
a see-through display solution with a form factor of a pair of eye
glasses,” said Alexander Tokman, Microvision CEO. Microvision
currently produces and sells head-worn see-through displays that are
helmet- or cap-mounted.
