It’s great to be part of a team establishing the branding of this incredible technology. But to then see it “out in the field” is truly a treat.
SHOWWX’er Dan Schmidt took his laser pico projector into the Utah desert and captured this amazing image.
I though you all would love to see your awesome little projector in action in the Utah desert! First of all, I sincerely thank you all for allowing me to pick up my projector will call from your headquarters, it allowed me to bring it to our camping trip in Utah last week to present the “2009 Year in Review”, a slide show my good friend compiles each year for all of our friends. We got the video feed from my iPod, and off we went.
Thinking of you all back in Redmond, I took a “glamor shot” with the splash background projected roughly 15′ diagonal onto a sandstone bluff in the middle of the Utah desert. The moon was rising from behind the sandstone towers, and amidst the clouds, one star can be seen. If you’re curious where we were, click to see a map. It was a 15 second exposure on my little Canon Power Shot. (we also looked at the day’s pictures from my camera via the projector too!)
Keep on creating awesome technology!
Got a great splash screen photo or video? Send it to me, and I will start adding them to the Displayground.
